wow im surprised.

I'm surprised i still haven't reviewed this song yet i downloaded it like 3 years ago.... Dimrain47... this is just an awesome song. Recently DJ - Babokon has just remixed this song and it's fairly epic, though originals are always godly. Love the piano you used and the synth or whatever to do the solos. I've seen people play this song on piano, the solos and everything, and it's just amazing to see one instrument able to play every beautiful part of this song. The crash or splash of the drums with the kick give it almost the feeling like two beats are going on, while the other beat is the melody. Simple at times yet complex at others, this song never fails to make people gape in amazement. The bass during the transitions is also pretty creative, with the lower octave notes actually playing eighth notes (or 16th note, 16th rest, 16th note, 16th rest, etc) with the higher octave offbeat coming only on the offbeat eighth. The piano also gives you some fake ending feelings by repeating those 5 or so pick up notes every now and then at the end. Love that key change in the end too. When you really break this song down, the second half... (or second portion cause im pretty sure it isn't divided evenly or whatnot) with the key change is pretty much the same yet the melody from the beginning and after the key change sound the same unless you listen pretty closely. Good job on the panning effects like you do in all of your godly songs. Nice use of sound effects too.

Overall this piece is awesome, because when you start playing this song, people will think it's some classical song til you hear that bass kick in and you wonder if it's still classical, and then the solos..... man techno simply dominates over classical when it's Dimrain47's techno. Am i right listeners? (<<lol don't kill me if i'm wrong). After hearing Fantasiex3 playing this on piano on youtube i can say that this song can be a perfect stand-alone song without the drums.

@New2thisGame: at 0:41 and 0:42 those are panning effects. They are also in a lot of other spots in this song (and many other Dimrain47 songs). Check to see if you have both speakers working correctly perhaps? The panning effects sound perfectly fine on my computer.

Definitely worth the effort.

Awesome start with the piano! Love when it kicks in at 0:20 with the bass and drums and whatnot. Every instrument sounds awesome from the kicks to the strings. Nicely done transitions with a different method each time. The effects placed on the instruments create a lot of interest that keeps listeners listening for a long time. The effect at 2:24 would catch anyone's attention whether they were listening to the song or not, and the part right after kicks the song back into motion. The z3ta+ instrument in the background gives the song more texture, and so does the bass, although basses are usually always there to give texture xD. The sixteenth note arpeggio/solo/mind-blowing-section is so fast i can't even tell the notes really, but ti doesn't matter since it's already a superb melody and a great way to finish the song by having all the other instruments fadeout. Awesome snare roll at 3:10 that plays into the filter effect and brings the song back to the main melody. the main melody sounds pretty simple yet sounds so epic at the same time. The amount of layers from all the instruments definitely adds a unique texture, and the strings certainly give off that "Burning Earth" feeling.

lol btw yeah im happy now. xD

This song definitely tops Double Helix now that i have heard the finished product, and Double Helix still remains as a great song nonetheless.

flawless. literally. sounds like the ending of a song or the start of a song. in this case it IS the song haha

DJ-Babokon responds:

yawn

lol..

o.O all i can say is lol. good title and effects and melody in the latter half. it's all just taken apart and placed at random intervals so it doesnt make sense. the ending sounds like a teddy bear from Cod5 (or 6 if teddies are still in it). the hat for the drum is barely noticable and sounds lost. sounds half happy and half horrifying. so... uhm gj? for your first song it's pretty decent... though it seems more liek your first sound effect experiment instead of science experiment.

Relaxing!

Another great song! Smooth transitions and nice effects coupled with awesome sounding instruments. The sound effect right at the beginning sounds like the waves receding/crashing onto the beach xD. I'm pretty sure i also hear some strings in the background on the offbeat too. The way the song flows is very nice, as it simply and just a little repetitively puts layers upon layers of new melodies and instruments. Right at 0:55 you would expect either a new melody or the exact opposite; all the instruments dropping out and leaving the gate playing by itself with the bass. At 1:07 i can really feel what you meant by Sky and Ocean. although the part is still pretty simple, i picture those videos where there's like a camera watching the ocean with the sun reflecting off the water and goign through a couple clouds or two. of course, it's fast forwarded, but still, good picture conveyed. At 1:56 you return to that melody from 1:07, so at 2:08 you can transition into that awesome melody after that. Pretty much one part i can single out that's like an ABAC kind of pattern. The lead instrument at 2:08 sounds real cool, with the intro melody playing alongside it in the background as the flute melody comes back a little later. At 2:48 im guessing that's the climax-ish because you have literally 3 melodies, or almost 3 melodies playing at the same time. That lead from 2:08, the flute, and the intro melody, although it's kinda more like a submelody. Right at 3:10 the song starts to come to a close, with just the lead from 2:08 and the flute, but then each time the flute melody repeats another instrument fades out like the other lead, the bass, or the drums. Although unnecessary, the ending at 3:39 to the end makes the entire ending of the fadeout extremely smooth and calming. Anyways, it makes the song kinda feel like a loop with the wave receding/crashing sound appearing again at the start because the small amount of activity at the end makes the wave sounds feel like it's part of the end when it's really the start. That didnt really make sense, but anyways, cool ending to make the start smooth.

Just a couple things: the bass could be turned up at some parts, as some times when it's playing i cant hear it, although when it's playing alongside the gate i can hear it very well. maybe just 2% or 3% louder at a couple parts, although even when you cant hear it it's still giving the song some more depth. Maybe the flute melody could have also been variated a little, but it's Progressive Trance as you said, so it's just a suggestion that wouldn't have made it as much of Progressive Trance. Fine anyhow.

Great job on this one! Conveys an awesome picture with great simplicity!

THANKS MAN. THATS WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR!

Hey sup!

Dude i just wanna say i love this song man! Love the speed of it and the build of it. i like that instrument that comes in around 0:32 in the background; gives it a complex and speedy feeling. Not gonna get into a super in-depth review of this song, though it is attention-grabbing and manages to make the almost 4 minutes pass by quicker than you know it.

OMG? o.O

Dang pretty sweet song man! good attention grabber at the start and then the snare run to transition into the simple yet bouncy bass. the instrument at 0:34 was so sick sounding! the 16th note hats at 0:45 give it an insane feeling when it kicks into it! the piano at 1:01 gives it a kinda odd feeling, and then the instruments fade out to bring in the organ. the organ makes this song seem like a haunted house at that part, and when the hat kicks in again it makes it feel even more sick. love the double kicks and effects in the background giving it an ambient feel. the end fade out is slow and smooth

HOLY CRAP! I've heard this song before!!!! i was just writing this review and then an error message appeared! im 100% sure when i listened to this song the internet crashed cause of its awesomeness! love your style man! a whole lot different from everyone else, and it definitely shows in your intro in a good way. creative usage of the kick, a nice bass beat and a hat or something coming in every now and then at the most unexpected yet perfect locations for this song. nice effects throughout the song. good way to build the tension around 0:50 so you can bring in the melody and just blow away people's minds and you do it again 1:15 and transition into yet another awesome melody. im going to favorite you man. i thought the other Aspiration song sounded familiar and then i saw this one and i knew how they were similar.

Good work!

Very nicely done! Nice sound effects you used throughout the song. Smooth transitions by having the parts ending and then the drums and claps play for a few measures. The bass is real dark and has a good beat. Lots of instruments are in the background giving it a good ambient/dark feeling in the beginning. The instrument at 1:11 is a real good instrument. i've heard it in a lot of songs and it's pretty much impossible to tell what the notes are (in my opinion at least). The somewhat-solo around 1:40 gives you that sort of stand-still feeling where you see stuff in slow motion. nicely done at that part. the fade-in around 2:13 was a good way to change the tone of the song with the strings or pad coming in. definitely gets that solar shower feeling. the bass and lead that come in for a short while return to the ambient/dark feeling so it makes the part at 2:50 sound more light/solar like. Nice piano that comes in and out as an accompanient and soloist for a few short seconds. good solo at 3:33. if i had been making the song it wouldnt have seemed to fit, but it fits in quite well and almost sounds 8-bit-ish. the new melody at 3:50 creates a good feeling (harmony? not sure...) with the sustained notes that transition into those quick and short notes at 4:01. the same instrument from 1:11 comes back in at 5:00 or so and takes away the solar feeling. the melodies and patterns after 5:00 sound the same from before, though that's okay. The song goes in an ABA format. Good way to start the ending at 6:30 with the instruments coming back in and sort of glitching up.

overall a very good trance song. the effects you used for the instruments to fade in. Good kick and instruments too. Although a fair length at 6:40, i suppose this song could have been cut down a little on the length, though then it wouldnt give the trance feeling as much. the kick drum pattern is fine as it is, and it could have used some more variation at some parts. the drums dont take much of the glory in this song, merely playing side by side with the melody, bass, etc. i would have ended the song somewhere right before 5:00 when the piano is playing. Take out the instrument with the syncopated notes and that snare run at the end and have a few piano notes hang over and it would have sounded good. That's just an alternative ending you could have had though. In this song there was one thing that was REAL good though. Many portions of the song have good volume levels so you can hear all of the parts playing without any part sounding overpowered. Just a couple parts where the piano was playing was the piano very faint, though i prefer to blame the high notes of the piano. Good job on the volume levels.

DJ-Babokon responds:

Thanks for an ACTUAL review.

nice man

this song is a lot like your other songs. in a good way. the strings definitely corollate with that little horn playing xD. it's really nice how you managed to put both some nasty (in a good way) awe striking melodies with some beautiful strings. good job!
